Wood Chip Grapple

The HEMA wood chip grapple is primarily used for handling wood chips, but can also be used for other light materials, such as sawdust, wood shavings and similar.

The wood chip grapple can be delivered as electric-hydraulics, where they are typically used on stationary cranes on incinerators or similar.

The grapple is available in different sizes with either one or two cylinders and can be mounted with rotators and customized link according to customer specifications.

The wood chip grapple is designed for at working pressure of 200-350 bar, making it applicable to almost all types of cranes and excavators.

The S-series is HEMA’s new grapple designed for truck operators and contractors. The series is designed to be used where demands are placed on the grapple’s strength in terms of when grabbing wood chips, sawdust, sphagnum or similar materials.

The special blades, help break through the compact mass easier.

The HEMA grapple opens so that the blades are vertical, allowing you to grab all the way out to the sides.

The main bolts are spread wide apart to achieve good stability between the grab shells.

The s-series has powerful bolts and bushings in all of its moving points causing durability and longevity.

The s-series are delivered with adjustable cylinders as in previous models, with the possibility to compensate for any possible wear in the future.

The wood chip grapple is designed for at working pressure of 170-200 bar, making it applicable to almost all types of auto cranes.

The horizontal and well-protected cylinder provides an extra low construction height, high closing force and a quick opening time of the grapple.

The adjustable cylinder compensates for wear on the blades.

The HEMA grapple opens so that the blades are vertical, enabling the grapple to grab all the way to the car’s sides.

As a special model, the grapple can be delivered either with closed or semi-closed shells, different designs of the side and bottom blades, such as jagged teeth, special teeth or welded blades.

All moving points are equipped with lubrication and replaceable bearings, which will make any potential repair easy, fast and affordable.
